For the most part, I agree with Tannen on the distinct differences in the ways the men and women communicate. What I agree with most is when she wrote how men usually do not make much eye contact when with friends (except for a few glances), and women usually look each other straight in the eye at almost all times. I can relate to this statement for when my brother talks to me and we are lounging in our room watching TV, we usually do not look at each other. However, I only thinks this applies for most men and women, not all of them.
